Breast screening starts in the shower.

Most lumps are found by women, not X-ray machines.  Get to know what your breasts look and feel like through your cycle says Breakthrough and report any unusual changes in shape, nipples, skin texture and underarms too, as well as lumps.  Do this even if you have regular NHS breast screening: a lot can happen in 3 years; and  in one of my very good friends case recently, just 6 months.  And if you do find a lump, remember, get it checked out immediately, 90% are benign.
